Key Information, Links, and Timelines

  • The DirtyBird CampINN was held at the Doubletree by Hilton at the Entrance to Universal Orlando over Labor Day weekend, August 29 - September 2, 2025.  Many allegations have been made that Home Bass as the organizing business, was supposed to pay the hotel and failed to do so.  As a result, attendees who had already paid for their attendance at the event and stay at the hotel experienced large holds and eventually unexpected charges to their credit cards.  Links below:
    • Reddit users began documenting and sharing their experience.
    • The Festive Owl reports on 9/2/25 that the hotel did not receive payment from Home Bass. 
    • EDM Tunes reports on 9/11/25 that attendees were hit with surprise hotel charges due to the organizer's failure to pay.
  • Home Bass is scheduled to be held at the same hotel, organized by the same key organizer, Brian Thomas, during EDC-Orlando weekend, November 7-9, 2025, plus earlier and later days for those who opted to purchase early check in or late check out.  Note: EDC Orlando is operated by Insomniac and not affiliated with Home Bass, DirtyBird CampINN or the concerns listed on this page.
    • The Home Bass website has been logged in The Way Back Machine. 
    • The DoubleTree by Hilton at the Entrance to Universal Orlando confirmed that they had not received payment. 
    • "Miss Behavior" (Dee Alexander) and "Mr. Babe" called the hotel on 9/16/25 and confirmed facts which can be seen in this video on Reddit and here on Tiktok on record:
      • The hotel is not hosting the Home Bass event anymore.
      • No reservations that had been made through Home Bass will be honored. 
      • This indicates that Home Base registrants risk a situation similar to what Dirtybird CampINN attendees experienced, or worse, since all hotel rooms have been released for public reservations rather than being held for a "hotel takeover."  

Mainstream news media WFTV9 on 9/18/25 reported that refunds have not yet been processed, and that Home Bass is not responding to their inquiries, and is still selling tickets for Home Bass occurring at same Doubletree Hilton hotel and continuing to advertise it online, despite the hotel confirming that it will NOT be the Home Bass location. 

  • Concerned community members have begun a "Megathread for Homebass Evidence for Chargebacks" under the EDC Orlando Reddit feed. Here is additional information to aid with those wronged in this situation: 
    • Brian Thomas is the "owner / President" of Music Festival Trips  (The Music Festival Trips website redirects to the Home Bass website as of 9/19/25.). He is also the "Founder" of Home Bass - both of which are listed on his LinkedIn Profile, and both of which seem to cross-post and be directly tied to the other.  Additional identifying links include: 
      • Music Festival Trips (MFT) Instagram
      • Home Bass (HB) Instagram
      • Music Festival Trips LLC previously held Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services License #ST39970 from 7/30/15 to 7/30/22 and was then listed as being Closed and Out of Business.  The Company had Brian Thomas listed as the primary contact and "DBA/Other Names" of the business as "Home Bass" and "World Adventure Trips."
    • This Google Forms Link shows the Ambassador Application that Home Bass publicly shared and used to recruit people to promote the event.  Home Bass Ambassadors were later also asked to help promote the DirtyBird CampINN event.

Miss Behavior is a "Home Bass Ambassador" as well as ticket-holder and past Home Bass attendee who has suspended all promotion of the event after learning about allegations that the event organizer has not paid vendors and the hotel for both events has cancelled any plans to host Home Bass 2025.
